While the Cavs rank among the league's top scoring teams, their defense hasn't been up to par. Although they rank eighth in terms of points allowed with 109.1 per game allowed against them, their weakness lies on the glass where opponents have shot 46% from the field and 40% from three-point range while also collecting 42.6 rebounds per game against them.
New Orleans stands at 3-5, placing them last in the Southwest Division. On Monday night they fell to Portland Trail Blazers by an overwhelming margin (118-101) and will be without several key players, such as Trey Murphy III, Dejounte Murray, CJ McCollum and Herbert Jones while Zion Williamson remains day-to-day.
Pelicans' lack of depth could prove costly against a Cavaliers team that's balanced on both ends of the ball. While they have managed to cope with losing Williamson by finding contributions from their depth players and are undefeated when not having a player averaging 30 points per game, it will prove even harder against Cleveland's offense.
