On Sunday evening in the Third Place game of the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic at Stan Sheriff Center in SimpliFi Arena at 6:30 PM ET, two ACC foes TCU Horned Frogs and Hawaii Rainbow Warriors will meet. This matchup promises an entertaining battle.
TCU recently suffered an embarrassing defeat to Nevada in their last matchup and will look to rebound and advance their season moving forward. Micah Peavy made history for TCU by becoming only the third player ever to register a triple-double at TCU; however, their offense struggled and it will be interesting to see if they can do any better against Hawaii.
The Rainbow Warriors currently hold an 8-3 record and hope to recover from a recent loss against Georgia Tech. While their defense was strong against Georgia Tech's Yellow Jackets, scoring proved challenging compared to what had been expected. They will hope their perimeter scorers such as Noel Coleman and Jameer Nelson Jr can provide better production this time around.
TCU is an impressive team on both sides of the ball, but their main task will be scoring more against Hawaii's defense. TCU excels at transitional zone play which they should look to take advantage of against Hawaii.
