The Griz are coming off their most daunting test yet this season as they traveled to Knoxville last Wednesday for a difficult battle against No. 11 Tennessee. Montana held tight in the first half, trailing by only single digits at halftime before Tennessee used an explosive second half performance to break away and claim victory by 22 points (Money Williams led his team with 30 points, only the third 30-point game since Eric Hays achieved that mark against UCLA back in 1975).
Though they lost, Montana put forth another impressive effort. Their last three games this year have all been decided by double-digit margins; Kai Johnson leads in scoring and assists while Money Williams is averaging 24.5 points per game for an incredible career performance. Aubin Gateretse led in rebounding while Mason Falslev averaged 3.8 per game rebounds.
Utah State is on an impressive two-game win streak and will look to extend that winning streak against an ineffective Griz squad who have struggled on the road this year, losing 19 consecutive road contests since November of 2017.
This season, the Aggies are unbeaten at Dee Glen Smith Spectrum where they've won both games by an average margin of more than 20 points each time and covered the spread in eight of nine 17.5-point favorites or higher games as an underdog.
